Guigang starts up new reheat furnace

Shougang Group’s Guiyang Special Steel (Guigang) in south western China has ignited a new reheat furnace for its hollow sections production line on 3 June, according to local media. The line has 200,000 tonnes/year capacity and was first built in 1988, before being moved to new facilities in January 2016, Kallanish notes. Guigang's new CNY 10 billion ($1.5 billion) special steel production base has crude steel capacity of 1.5 million t/y.
