Guangxi Steel gains capacity for Fangchenggang project
Guangxi Iron & Steel says it will close part of its subsidiary Liuzhou Iron & Steel's production equipment to provide capacity quotas for the new Fangchenggang production base. The Fangchenggang steel base was approved in 2012 with capacities of 8.5 million tonnes/year of iron and 9.2m t/y crude steel, Kallanish notes.
Guangxi Steel Group has already eliminated 3.94m t/y of iron capacity and 5.7m t/y of crude steel capacity for the project. H…
