Guangxi Shenglong begins steelmaking project construction
Guangxi Shenglong Metallurgical Co has begun construction of the steelmaking section of its second-phase upgrade, Kallanish notes. New equipment will be built in its existing plant in Fangchenggang, Guangxi.
In order to boost the company’s crude steel capacity to 6.95 million tonnes/year, it will build four 150-tonne converters and one 144t converter, of which two 150t converters started construction in late 2019.
