Guangxi Guigang details blast furnace upgrade plan
China’s Guangxi Guigang Iron & Steel Group has recently submitted the environmental impact assessment (EIA) report of its transformation and upgrade project, detailing its new 2,050 cubic metre-blast furnace, Kallanish learns.
The new BF has over 1.74 million tonnes/year of iron capacity. To secure 2.18m t/y of capacity quotas to meet national requirements, Guigang Steel plans to dismantle one 530cum and one 1,080cum BF, which combine 1.66m t/y capacity.…
