Grupo Simec’s shipments, profit rise in third quarter
Mexican long steel producer Grupo Simec increased its third-quarter sales, Kallanish learns from the company’s latest report.
The steelmaker’s finished steel shipments totalled 676,000 tonnes in Q3, up 13% on-year and 25% compared to Q2. Commercial profiles accounted for 461,000t.
In the first nine months of 2020 sales amounted to 1.83 million tonnes, 2% more on-year, with commercial profiles representing 68.9% of total shipments.
