Grupo Simec profit improves in first quarter
Mexican long steel producer Grupo Simec saw its main indicators improve both on-quarter and year-on-year in the first three-month period of 2021, Kallanish learns from the company’s latest report.
The steelmaker’s finished steel shipments totalled 682,000 tonnes in Q1, up 32% on-year and 13% compared to Q4 2020. Commercial profiles accounted for 435,000t of shipments.
