Greenland revokes iron ore licence, prepares new tender
Greenland’s government has revoked the iron ore exploitation permit at Isukasia in West Greenland after deciding against granting a further extension to London Mining Greenland. The project was taken over by China’s General Nice Development in 2015 after London Mining went bankrupt.
The licensee was given three previous permit deadline extensions and was then refused the fourth after insufficient progress had been made on developing the mine.
