Greenbrier to build 6,200 new rail cars
Freight transportation equipment provider Greenbrier received new orders for 6,200 railcars valued at $670 million during its recently-ended fiscal first quarter.
The orders include an array of railcar types including intermodal, boxcars, gondolas, tank cars, covered hoppers, and automobile-carrying railcars -- all of which require steel plate in their production.
