GrafTech holds the line during the third quarter
US graphite electrode supplier GrafTech International saw its profit dip slightly on-year during the third quarter, Kallanish reports.
GrafTech earned $175.9 million on sales of $420.8m during the quarter, down from $199.5m on sales of $454.9m in Q3 2018.
Both sales volume and weighted average pricing were essentially level on-year – 40,000 tonnes in Q3 versus 42,000t in Q3 2018, and $9,960/t in Q3 versus $9,664/t in Q3 2018.
