GrafTech earnings, sales slip on-year
US graphite electrode producer GrafTech saw both profits and sales decline slightly on-year in the first quarter, Kallanish learns from the company’s Q1 earnings review.
GrafTech earned $99 million in Q1 on sales of $304.4m, down from earnings of $122m on sales of $318.6m in Q1 2020.
Production volume, however, increased 9% on-year to 36,000 tonnes.
