Godawari’s output plunges, eyes capacity expansion
India’s Godawari Power and Ispat (GPIL)’s pellet production declined 11% on-year to 552,050 tonnes in the September quarter, against 617,300t produced last year.
GPIL subsidiary Ardent Steel (ASL)’s pellet production, however, grew 81% on-year to 183,910t during the period. GPIL iron ore output totalled 462,836t, up by 10%, Kallanish notes.
