China drives global shipbuilding growth
Over January to June global shipbuilding completions and new orders both increased from last year according to Clarksons' data. The main growth driver in shipbuilding steel demand during the period was China. South Korea however appears to be taking pole position for the second half as its new orders are recovering from a slump last year.
