Pig iron output remains down, despite April rise
Global pig iron output continued to rise in April after the March rebound. A total of 112 million tonnes of pig iron was produced last month, up 3.8% on-month but down 2% on-year, with January-April output remaining down 8% on-year at 424.1mt, show worldsteel data.
