Global pig iron output flattens in October
World pig iron output decreased by a fractional -0.8% month-on-month and by -3% year-on-year in October, to 1.03 million tonnes. Output in January-October continued to climb, rising 2.7% on-year, to 1.06 billion tonnes, according to worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish.
