Global output falls in August despite China rebound
Crude steel production in the 64 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) dropped for a 13th consecutive month on-year in August, by 3% on-year to 150.55 million tonnes. India continued to buck the trend but its output rose more slowly, while Chinese output rose for the first time in multiple months, Kallanish notes.
