Global molybdenum use falls
Global production and use of molybdenum fell in the first quarter when compared to the fourth quarter of 2019, according to International Molybdenum Association (IMOA) data.
Production fell by -8% to 139.2 million pounds (mlb) quarter-on-quarter, but was up 1% on Q1 2019. Global use of molybdenum fell -13% q-on-q to 123.6mlbs, and also -13% on-year.
