Global demand for Turkish rebar still lags
Turkish rebar producers have further increased quotes since last week despite subdued demand in the global market. Price increases are mostly due to hiking production costs arising from higher-priced raw materials and energy.
Turkish mills’ rebar quotes were mostly at $940-960/tonne fob Turkey actual weight on Thursday. Prices of $935/t and $970/t are also being quoted by a few producers, however. This is up from $850-860/t a week ago.
