Global crude steel production sees China-driven 2019 increase
The World Steel Association (worldsteel) says that global crude steel output from its 64 reporting countries rose again in 2019 to 1,869.9 million tonnes, up by 3.4% year-on-year Kallanish notes. Asia, driven by China, and the Middle East both saw crude steel output rise, whilst that in other regions fell, the association confirms.
