Global crude steel output flattens on-year in May

The World Steel Association (worldsteel) says that global crude steel output was 139 million tonnes in May 2016, a -0.1% decrease compared to May 2015, Kallanish notes. China produced 70.5mt in the month, an increase of 1.8% on May 2015.
