Ghana longs mill begins operation
A long products mill with an investment of $80 million has started operating in Larkpleku, Greater Accra Region, Ghana.
The steel plant is operated by B5 Plus Steel, Kallanish notes. It uses scrap collected from across the country as raw material for the manufacture of rebar, wire rod and round bar. The capacity of this steel plant is 250,000 tonnes/year, in the first phase.
