Germany continues to decrease scrap exports, imports
Germany’s ferrous scrap exports and imports decreased significantly in January-April, according to data from the German federal statistics office.
Shipments from Germany totalled 2.55 million tonnes, down 15% on-year, Kallanish notes. In the first four months of the year scrap imports fell by 35% to 958,000 tonnes.
