German union rejects mills’ offer in wage talks

The annual collective wage bargaining for steelworkers between union IG Metall and mill employers started in Düsseldorf on Monday. The negotiations cover the northwestern and the eastern German chapters, which include most large mills of thyssenkrupp, ArcelorMittal and Salzgitter.
