German wage negotiations to begin, early demands rejected
Germany’s IG Metall union will enter the upcoming round of wage talks demanding a 4% increase for its 70,000 employees in northern and western Germany. Employers have however rejected the claim outright, increasing the chances of strikes and therefore disruptions to operations.
