German steel union tables new wage demands
For the upcoming wage negotiations with steel employers, Germany’s union IG Metall has made official the demands it said it was considering several weeks ago, Kallanish notes.
At its meeting in Duisburg, the union’s working group on wage negotiations issued the recommendation to go for a wage increase of 8.5% – and for a 32-hour week.
