German steelworkers start token strikes
Some 4,000 steelworkers have put pressure on the collective bargaining process in the northwestern German steel industry with token strikes.
With the end of the peace period as of 1 June, union IG Metall has started labour action. On Thursday, 3,770 workers in 13 companies at northwestern German mills went on strike.
