German steelworkers achieve 5.5% wage increase

Following 14 hours of negotiations in the collective bargaining round for the northwestern German steel industry, labour and employers achieved an agreement on Saturday morning, Kallanish learns. Union IG Metall and employers’ interest group AGV Stahl agreed on a wage increase of 5.5%, starting January 2025.
