German scrap prices to decrease amid uncertain market
German scrap prices remain flat in April amid low export deals, despite some shipments to Italy, say local market participants. They expect values to fall in the coming month amid low purchases from steel mills.
“The steel scrap market is still characterised by great uncertainty with a still limited supply of raw materials,” a buyer from Bavaria tells Kallanish.
German scrap could decrease in May by €10-15/tonne ($11-16/t), according to sources.
