German scrap prices stable, market expects new decreases
German scrap prices remain flat in mid-April amid new export deals, mainly to Italy, in the first ten days of the month, say local market participants. However, they expect values to fall in the coming weeks amid currently low purchases from German and Italian mills.
“Scrap availability decreased this week and the market is showing signs of weakening demand,” a buyer form Bavaria tells Kallanish.
