Higher demand lifts German scrap prices
German scrap prices have increased significantly due to strong demand from Turkey and Italy, according to most suppliers in the German scrap market.
Prices in southern Germany, as well as in the north and west increased €30/tonne ($36/t) on-month in May, a Bavarian buyer tells Kallanish.
