German scrap prices fall, border checks threaten supply
After the price increase in January, most suppliers in the German scrap market have seen a decline at the beginning of February due to full stocks in most European countries.
Compared to January, ferrous scrap prices this month have fallen by €30-40/tonne ($36-49) on-month in most cases. In some it went down by €50/t.
