German scrap prices fall, new reduction expected
German scrap prices continued to decrease in July due to low demand and a very quiet market amid summer holidays, say local market participants. They expect values to continue to fall next month.
“Demand from steel mills for scrap as a raw material is currently extremely low and some plants in Germany didn't buy anything at all [this month],” one buyer tells Kallanish.
