German scrap market expects prices hikes in November
German scrap prices increased at the end of October due to new purchases from Turkey, according to German scrap market participants. The expectation is that higher energy costs will also lead to new hikes in November, sources say.
Prices in southern, northern and eastern Germany have increased by €20-30/tonne ($23-34/t) this month, a German participant in the market tells Kallanish.
