German scrap market expects new decreases in September
German scrap prices continued to decrease in August due to low demand and a weak market amid summer holidays, say local market participants. They expect values to continue to fall next month.
“The steel mills in Europe continue to purchase low volumes of scrap and most plants are on summer holidays,” one buyer tells Kallanish.
