German recycler Scholz nearing acquisition by Chinese group
China’s Chiho-Tiande group is a step closer close to taking over insolvent Scholz Recycling, a move that became public at the beginning of the month. Nearly all creditors and bondholders of the German steel scrap merchant have accepted the offer of the Hong Kong-listed company to acquire a debt package with a nominal value of €524 million ($585m), Scholz says in a press release.
