German hand tool makers say sector is buoyant, exports growing
A positive mood prevails among Germany’s hand tool makers this year, according to their industry association Fachverband Werkzeugindustrie (FIW).
Following a flat year 2013, sales surged by 7% to €4.1 billion ($4.7billion) in 2014. In the first half year of 2015 they rose again by 2.5%, with exports especially contributing to the gain, FIW says.
