Gerdau’s Siderperu commissions solar plant for self-consumption
Peruvian steelmaker Empresa Siderúrgica del Perú (Siderperu), a subsidiary of Brazil's Gerdau, has successfully commissioned the first solar plant at its Chimbote steelmaking plant, Kallanish learns from the company.
The photovoltaic system was installed by local company Enel X Perú (EP) as part of a long-term contract to supply renewable energy to Siderperu signed in July 2022.
