Gerdau second-quarter steel production falls year-on-year
Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau saw crude steel production, sales and net revenue decrease year-on-year in the second quarter of 2019, Kallanish notes from the steelmaker's latest operating statement.
"During the second quarter, crude steel production, sales and adjusted Ebitda fell, reflecting the asset divestments in Chile and India and most rebar units and wire rod unit in the US in 2018,” Gerdau says.
