Gerdau earnings grow despite lower production in 2020
Gerdau’s output and sales fell in 2020 despite a fourth-quarter rebound but earnings improved. The steelmaker reported its best adjusted Ebitda in 12 years, Kallanish notes.
“The improved financial result reflects continued strong demand for steel in Brazil, the US and Latin America, as well as the company's agility in capturing the opportunities presented by the market,” Gerdau explains.
