Gerdau considers acquisition of Brazilian longs mill: reports
Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau is reported to be negotiating with Spanish group Hierros Añón on the acquisition of its Brazilian rebar and wire rod rolling mill, Silat, Kallanish learns from Brazilian media reports.
The mill reached its full capacity at the beginning of 2017, with an installed capacity of 600,000 tonnes of rebar and wire rod rolled from billets purchased in the open market. The mill is part of Spain's Hier…
