GCC rebar retail market slows during Ramadan
Gulf Cooperation Council rebar end-use demand is slow amid lowered construction activity during Ramadan, Kallanish understands.
In United Arab Emirates, in the retail segment, this week prices are softening by nearly AED 50/tonne ($13.6) due to low demand. Emirates Steel (ESI) rebar is offered at AED 3,100/t and non-ESI material is available at AED 3,040-3,060/t. Prices are delivered on credit basis and excluding 5% VAT.
