GCC re-rollers close in on imported billet deals
Gulf Cooperation Council rebar re-rollers are looking to close deals to take advantage of discounted billet import prices, which may not fall any further.
Southeast Asian-origin standard (rebar grade 150mm) billet quotes have fallen to $495-505/tonne cfr liner out GCC ports in the Persian Gulf for end-August/September shipments for 40,000-50,000 tonnes lots.
