GCC integrated mills offer January billet allocation
The fully integrated mills in the Gulf Cooperation Council have exhausted their December billet allocations. Rebar re-rollers and billet buyers are facing difficulties with long lead times for imported billet.
Last week, Bahrain's major was targeting $530/tonne fob for rebar-grade billet, while the Omani mill was at $510/t fob. Omani and Saudi majors are sold out for December and are prepared to offer January readiness from next week, notes Kallanish.
