GCC integrated mills lower billet tags on demand
Fully integrated mills in the Gulf Cooperation Council have cut their billet target prices due to the lack of demand for rebar and billet.
This week, Omani and Emirati majors offered December-load readiness rebar-grade billet at $515/tonne fob, down $5-10/t on-week for 25-30,000-tonne volumes. Wire rod grade billet is offered at $5-8/t more than rebar grade, subject to supplier, Kallanish understands.
