GCC HRC market concludes deals at below $600
This week, imported hot rolled coil offers from Taiwanese, South Korean, Japanese and Chinese tier-one mills are pegging at $590-600/tonne cfr Gulf Cooperation Council ports for December deliveries.
Deals have been concluded by pipemakers at $585-595/t cfr for SS400 or S235JR grades. A Chinese tier-two mill’s 3mm thickness same-grade material is heard offered at $570/t cfr Abu Dhabi, Kallanish notes.
