GCC construction lags behind expectations in 2022: MEED
Gulf Cooperation Council construction sector performance is far behind expectations after the first half of 2022.
Contract awards for projects including oil and gas pipelines, water, construction and power, transportation, and green hydrogen recorded $39.6 billion in H1 and are expected to reach $80 billion for the entire year. Only 2020 saw lower awards in the last ten years, at $69.7 billion, according to MEED.
