GCC billet comes under low rebar price pressure
The billet market is depressed in the Gulf Cooperation Council due to low rebar prices in the domestic and export markets amid subdued demand.
In United Arab Emirates, a rebar-grade billet deal was committed by a re-roller from an unconventional billet supplier last Wednesday/Thursday for 20,000-25,000 tonnes at $520/tonne ex-works.
