GCC billet market improves, prices on the rise
Billet prices in United Arab Emirates and Oman have trended up, following hiked domestic rebar quotes in UAE, notes Kallanish.
This week in UAE, one induction furnace mill concluded a 150mm 3sp deal at $530-531/tonne ex-works for 2,500 tonnes, while another inked a 4,000t deal at $532/t ex-mill for 130mm 3sp/modified. These are both for October deliveries.
