French steel exports take a dive in 2016
In 2016 French steel exports to countries outside the EU declined -11.5% on-year to 161,000 tonnes/month. In December however, they increased over 11% on-year to 149,000 tonnes, Kallanish learns from French steel producers’ association Fédération Française de l’Acier (FFA).
Flat steel exports fell by -12.7% y-o-y in 2016 to 144,000 t/month. In December however flats exports increased by 12% on-year to 140,000t, FFA says.
