French stainless scrap hikes on skyrocketing nickel
Stainless steel scrap prices in France are rising for September contracts due to the recent jump in nickel, Kallanish learns.
Grade 304 stainless scrap starts for September at €1,100/tonne ($1,214/t) ex-works. Buyers pay €20-30/t on average for delivery.
