French stainless scrap prices fall
Stainless steel scrap prices in France are falling by €100/tonne ($110/t) compared to last month, Kallanish learns from merchants in the sector.
Grade 304 is now fetching €880-900/t ex works with buyers paying €20-30/t on average for delivery. Grade 316 remains in short supply and is quickly sold when available. Prices for this higher grade have also lost €100/t month-on-month and are now at €1,350/t ex-works on average.
